A Book for your name
A Book for your name
Dear reader, there is a Book in Heaven for a special person like you. It is a Book where God’s angels write about you. It is called the Book of Life. It is a Book for your name.
How to get your name written in this Book
God is merciful and loving. He designed you to know Him and to bring glory to Him. In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve failed to fulfill this great purpose and instead became slaves to Satan. But God made a plan for your redemption. He provided a Savior who can lead you to freedom from sin and restore your relationship with God.
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to fulfill this mission. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life in complete obedience to God. He willingly took upon Himself the fury of His Father’s wrath against our sin; He suffered and died in your place.
After Jesus’s death and burial, God raised Him from the dead, thus proclaiming Jesus’s divinity and validating His sacrifice in our place.
This is what the Word of God says in Acts 16:31
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
When you believe in Jesus Christ, accepting God’s gift of salvation, you are justified (declared free of the guilt and penalty of sin) before God because of what Jesus did. God forgives you of all of your sins. Your relationship with God is restored; you become His child. You are redeemed from the bondage to sin. Your name will be written in the Book of Life and you will spend eternity in heaven with God.
Say this prayer of salvation now:
“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
