Clear the way for Jesus.

I usually drive along a road often used by the Presidential motorcade. What I noticed is that there is always a lead police car, about one kilometre from  the Presidential motorcade that clears the way for the coming President. In the same way, God is sending out this message to all Christians to clear the way for Jesus who wants to come and dwell permanently within their hearts.

John the Baptist.

Before Jesus came on earth, God sent John the baptist to clear the way for Jesus. John was like a lead police car alerting all road users to clear the way for the coming President.

I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.’  Malachi 3:1

Jesus wants to dwell within you.

This message is to inform you in advance that Jesus Christ wants to come and dwell in your heart permanently. This is what the Word of God says:

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.Ephesians 3:16-17.

Start clearing your life.

In the case of the presidential motorcade, once other road users see the lead police car, they reduce speed, drive to the road side, and stop completely.

This is exactly what God wants you to start doing. Reduce the amount of time you have been spending on your routine worldly activities. Start focusing on Jesus who is about to come and dwell permanently within your heart. Change your ways and start doing the following:

  1. Start hating sin in all its forms.
  2. Repent of your careless ways of living that may have displeased God.
  3. Start pursuing righteousness in whatever you do.
  4. Read God’s written Word in the Bible like never before, and implement what it says you have to do.
  5. Increase the time you spend in prayer.
  6. Every time you wake up, open your heart and ask Jesus to come and dwell within you.
  7. Become an ambassador of Jesus Christ to free those who are still in darkness.

Switch on your light.
