Don’t wait for adequate resources to start!
Many Christians have dreams of big projects in life but they leave this world without ever implementing them for one main reason: the fear of starting. Many believe they must have adequate resources to start any project. They get stuck waiting for those means. From my experiences with God, I have realized that it is not the amount of resources that enables you to start. Rather it is your determination and your faith in God’s abilities to help you. From my experiences I can confidently plead with you that: Don’t wait for adequate resources to start! I remember I and my wife had a big dream of constructing one of the largest church in Nakaseke District District, Uganda. After drawing the necessary plans, one day I gathered about four men, showed them the drawings and instructed them to start clearing the grounds for the foundation of this building. I did not know where all the funds needed to complete the building would come from. Even some church members started asking me where we would get the money to complete. They wanted me to alter the original building plans. But my faith was in God’s provision and work continued. Later my faith was tested when construction reached the roofing stage. I also started wondering where funds for the roofing structure would come from.
Then something happened. Around that time my employers offered me an opportunity to attend the American Bio International Convention that was held in Chicago, USA. Even though this meeting was scientific in nature, most of my focus was on roofing the church building back in my home country, Uganda. I did not visit any church in Chicago nor did I talk to anybody in this conference about what I was doing back home.
On the last day of the convention, as a bus was taking us back to our hotels from the McCormick Convention center, I was surprised when a Chinese-looking man near me started a conversation by showing me a beautiful book he had been given free from one of the conference stalls. We talked a lot and he got to know more about me and the Lord’s work I was doing in my country. I later found out that this man was actually a South Korean Christian millionaire who had invested a lot in chemical industries in south-east Asia. God used him to give me all the funds we needed to roof our church structure.
I encourage you to start now on your dream project. God will reward your faith by illuminating your mind with brilliant ideas and providing the necessary resources.
