Keys to Heavenly presence
Dear reader, have you ever wondered why you feel nothing as you pray? I may know the reason. I suspect you did not give God thanksgiving, praise and worship before starting your prayer. These are the three keys to the Gates of Heaven that usher you into God’s Heavenly presence.
Heaven has Gates
Heaven has gates. The Bible talks of a Gate to Heaven (Genesis 28:17)and the twelve Gates to the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:21).
Heavens Gates are always locked.
The purpose of any gate is to keep the place secure. Therefore the Gates to Heaven are always locked. Only our God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and God’s Angels know the codes for opening these Heavenly Gates.
Here are the keys
The keys to opening the Heavenly Gates are found in this important Bible Verse:
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4)
Key number 1: Give thanks to God before prayer for all the good things He has done for you. Thank Him for the life He has given you. Thank him for the Salvation He has given you. Thank God for your family, your accommodation, your health, and for many other things. The Bible says:
Key number 2: Praise God’s wonderful Name and praise Him for his creation. Praise the Name of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
“I will praise God’s name in song
and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.” (Psalm 69:30-31)
Key number 3: Worship God before prayer. The Church has many worship songs. Use one of these to worship God.
A combination of thanksgiving, praise, and worshiping God will act as the keys that will be able you to open the Heavenly Gate to usher you into God’s Heavenly presence.
