Dear child of God, of all the praying positions, kneeling and bowing are best for the four reasons I am going to give you.
First, they are the most humble positions. When you humble yourself before our Father in Heaven, He will exalt you, for it is written that humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up (James 4:10).
Second, kneeling and bowing gives honor to God most. Our Father feels much honored and is very pleased when you kneel or bow before Him.
Thirdly, the Bible tells us that during his private prayers, our Lord Jesus Christ always knelt whenever he was praying to our Father in Heaven. For example, in the Garden of Gethsemane he withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond his disciples, knelt down and prayed (Luke 22:41). If Jesus knelt before our Father, who are we not to do so? Let us always emulate Jesus Christ.
Fourthly the kneeling and bowing positions honor Jesus Christ most because it is written that God exalted Jesus to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (Philippians 2:10). When you kneel before God you also please our Lord Jesus Christ.
Unfortunately, not everyone is happy when you kneel while praying. Satan and demons are very much annoyed and irritated when you kneel before God and Jesus Christ. They will fight those two positions by suggesting to you that “God can hear you even when you are standing, or sitting”
Dear reader, do not listen to the Devil’s suggestions. During your prayers, especially private prayers, kneel down or bow down to honor our Father in Heaven and our Lord Jesus Christ.
