Dear reader, after failing to tempt Jesus Christ, the Bible says Satan left Jesus until another opportunity comes (Luke 4:13). This opportunity never came for Satan because Jesus Christ was very careful in his walk with God.
Satan is like a lion.
You can compare Satan to a hunting lion. When its prey escapes, the lion patiently lies in ambush to try getting the escaped animal at the most opportune time and place. For example, the lion may wait in ambush at a water place knowing that the prey animal will come here to drink water. If the prey animal is careful in its walks, the lion will never get it. But if the prey animal walks carelessly, it will fall victim to the concealed lion.
God is warning you about Satan.
Satan has never been good to you. He always wants to fail you so that you do not make it to Heaven. Like a lion, he waits in ambush at the best places where he can pounce on you.
“Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
Five most common places where Satan can ambush you.
In this article I give you five most common places where Satan lies in ambush to attack you. Be very careful when you are passing near these dark spots.
Sexual relationships.
Satan sprang from this dark place of ambush and jumped on his two famous victims; Samson and King David. The Devil has used the same place of ambush to destroy many faithful Christians. Many are now crying, suffering in Hell.
Dishonesty.
The Devil laid at this place of ambush and sprang on unsuspecting Ananias and Saphira. They both never survived this ambush. They are now in Hell. Acts 5:1-10.
Greed for wealth.
Many times Gehazi escaped the Devil because he moved with a very strong man of God called Elisha. Satan kept on trying until he laid an ambush at a a place called greed. This is where Gehazi went careless. Suddenly Satan jumped on Gehazi at this place and he never survived this ambush. Many Christians have fallen victim to the Devil at this very same place of Satan’s ambush. 2 Kings 5:21-27
Witchcraft and Satanism.
When you are a true follower of Jesus Christ, there are some places where you can never step your feet. One such place is getting involved in witchcraft, Satanism, or the occult. The Devil is angrily waiting there in ambush for you. This is where Satan got King Saul. This King never survived. 1 Samuel 28:3-25. King Saul died very painfully and his body was tortured and later burnt (1 Samuel 31:3-12)
Politics.
For three years I worked with politicians and I made a conclusion. Many politicians survive on lies. It is very difficult to be a true Christian when you are in politics. Satan is always there to ambush you any time. I have seen many ministers of God who went into politics but Satan ambushed them there. They never survived.
