Dear reader. when you read the four Gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John, you will realize that Jesus, unlike most of us, rarely got hungry. The reason is that he was constantly depending on spiritual food. This post tells you what Jesus ate. Listen to what he told his disciples when one time when they got concerned that he was hungry:
“They came out of the town and made their way toward him. 31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” 32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” 33 Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?” 34 “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.” John 4:30-34
The Word of God is God’s will for your life.
Jesus told his disciples that his food was to do the will of his Father in heaven. This will is actually found in the written Word of God, the Bible. Jesus had to fulfill the will of God as was prophesied in the Scriptures.
A strong sprit and soul.
When you read the written Word of God, it makes your spirit and soul very strong. When your spirit and soul are strong, your body will remain strong always.
The secret of good appearance.
When you regularly read the written Word of God, it will make your spirit and soul very strong. As a result, your body will get a good appearance. This fact is clearly shown in the case of Daniel. He refused to eat the royal food and spent most of his time reading God’s written Word. He ate very little but everyone in the Royal palace was surprised to see that his face and body always had better appearance than all those who were eating very nice royal food.
“At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. 16 So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead.” Daniel 1:15-16
Dear reader, let us always feed our souls with the written Word of God, which is the food for our spirits and souls.
