Can you tell whether someone holds a deep reverence for God’s absolute authority and holiness? Here are 7 Signs that someone fears God.
1. Fear of sin.
First, if any person fears sin, then that person has great reverance for God. Listen to what Moses said about this matter:
20 Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”

2. Fear of Hell.
Second, if someone fears hell, then he fears God. On the other hand, if someone does not fear hell, then he does not fear God either.
3. Fear of hurting other people’s feelings.
Third, a person fears God if they fear hurting other people’s feelings. However, if a person has no fear of hurting other people’s feelings, that person belongs to Satan.
4. Someone who quickly forgives.
Furthermore, someone fear’s God if that person quickly forgives. By forgiving someone, that person knows that they have closed the door to hell.
5. Reverance for God’s word in the Bible.
Additionally, if someone has reverance for God’s word written in the Bible, then that person fears God. Listen to what God says:
8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

6. Honoring God.
Moreover, if someone honors God in any way, then that person fears God. For example, if a person uses his personal finances to construct a church building, then that person greatly fears God.
7. Honoring God’s true servants.
Finally, when you honor God’s servants, you are actually honoring God. Listen to what the thief on the cross said to another thief on the cross who had insulted Jesus Christ:
But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God?”
