Unless God has called you, do not rush into any position in the Church. Here are four church titles that could get you into big trouble in heaven.
Preacher.
First, you will be in great trouble in heaven if you were a preacher on earth but did not live by what you preached. In fact, the Bible verses you preached but did not live by will be used by Satan to send you to hell.
In relation to this fact, listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:
3 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers. Because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
James 3:1
Pastor.
Second, you could end up in hell if you were a pastor on earth, but you deliberately caused a member of your church to sin.
Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:
6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Matthew 18:6
Prophet.
Third, you will be in great danger in heaven if you were a prophet on earth, but you prophesied things that God did not tell you.
I did not send these prophets,
yet they have run with their message.
I did not speak to them,
yet they have prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my council,
they would have proclaimed my words to my people.
And would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.
Jeremiah 23:21-22
Church Elder.
Additionally, you may find yourself in hell if you were a church elder but lived a sinful life, you were unfaithful to your spouse, or if you had disobedient children.
Listen to what God says in Tutus 1:6:
6 An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe[a] and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.
