Dear reader, do not accept every recognition people make. Here are four earthly recognitions that will bring you trouble in heaven.
1. Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
First, heaven will be angry with you if you are awarded or recognised by people for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. In fact, God will cancel his heavenly rewards if people recognise you for preaching the gospel.
2. Helping the needy.
Second, God will be disappointed if people on earth recognise you for helping the needy. As a matter of fact, God will cancel the the heavenly rewards prepared for you. Listen to what the written word of God says about this matter:
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

3. A donation to promote God’s work.
Third, heaven will become upset if people recognise or award you for the donation you gave to promote the Kingdom of God. The truth is that God will cancel the reward he had prepared for you in heaven.
4. Praise and worship.
Additionally, God will be disappointed if people recognise or award you for praising and worshipping God. As a result, your heavenly rewards for praising and worshipping God will be cancelled.
