During the 18th and 19th centuries, many Christian missionaries who traveled to Africa, the Caribbean, and South America failed because they did not understand or they underestimated the power of witchcraft, voodoo, and other occult practices. They didn’t know that they were indirectly dealing with Satan and demons.

Secondly, you should know that witches, voodoo practitioners, and other occultists can perform incredible acts. For example, they can curse people and cause illness, poverty, accidents, and even death.
In fact, witches can control nature, bringing rain or stopping it, controlling bees, and even manipulating lightning.
The powerful witch whose son converted to our Lord Jesus Christ.
In our prayer group, there was a member whose father was a powerful sorcerer. Through witchcraft, this man could command lightning to kill his enemies.
After his conversion, this member of our group returned to his rural home village and told his father that he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He explained to his father that he had stopped practicing the traditional religion and that he was now a committed Christian.
This conversion enraged his father so much that he told our colleague he no longer considered him his son and that he didn’t want to see him in his house again. In fact, he swore to kill this friend of ours. Therefore, our friend returned to the city to live on his own as a committed and dedicated Christian.
Later, this witch vowed to kill his son with a lightning bolt. One morning, while our friend was sitting alone in his lonely room, a thick cloud suddenly formed outside and it began to rain. Suddenly, he saw a bright flash of light and felt an electric shock in his body. Fortunately, God’s power mitigated the impact of the lightning, and he suffered no harm. However, our friend did not realise that God had saved his life, and had diverted the lightning bolt elsewhere.
The following day, our colleague received astonishing news: God had indeed diverted the lightning bolt that the witch had aimed at his Christian son. This bolt of lighteningt flew and struck 45 head of cattle belonging to the witch. All the 45 head of cattle died instantly.
From that day on, the witch never practiced witchcraft against his son again.
