What does the name Jesus mean?
To begin with, before we go any further, we need to understand what the name Jesus means. According to the writtem word of God in the Bible, the name Jesus means saviour.
Listen to what the angel of God told Joseph in a dream:
21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[a] because he will save his people from their sins.”

And what about the name Christ?
God put the name of Jesus above all other names.
According to the written word of God, as recorded in the Bible, our heavenly Father has exalted the name of Jesus above all other names.
Listen to what the Bible says:
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Why God exalted the name of Jesus.
God elevated Jesus above all other names as a reward for His humble obedience and sacrificial death, giving Him supreme authority and sovereignty.
This act fulfills prophecies, establishes Jesus as the heir of all things, and ensures that every being, in heaven and on earth, will ultimately acknowledge Him as Lord.
