Dear reader, the supernatural wonders of God will never cease for those who seek Him. Shocking! Why you should close your eyes during prayer!
Your prayer generates fire.
First, all Christians should know that prayer generates a supernatural fire in Satan’s kingdom. Satan and demons will experience this fire when you start praying.
Therefore, the more you pray, the more fire is directed toward Satan and the demons on earth and in the lower heavens. For this reason, Satan’s kingdom will always fight to stop your prayer.
The devil brings distractions.
To interrupt your prayer, the devil always tries to distract you in one way or another. For example, he will divert your visual attention so that you focus less on the Kingdom of God. In fact, during prayers or worship at church, Satan wants you to look at how people are dresed or their physical appearances instead of focusing on prayer.
Closing your eyes during prayer and worship makes a difference.
Therefore, closing your eyes during prayer and worship will make you focus more on the Kingdom of God. As a result, your prayer will be empowered by the Holy Spirit, and it will become more dangerous to enemy forces.
This happened to me one day as I prayed.
I remember one day I was in church, in the middle of a congregation praying. Instead of looking at the congregation during prayer, I closed my eyes and imagined myself in heaven, prostrate before the throne of God.
As I continued to visualize heaven, everyone around me disappeared, and I found myself standing before a great light that resembled a brilliant rising sun. As my prayer intensified, my mind and soul completely left the church, and I found myself in a heavenly realm. The rising sun grew brighter as I approached it. Then, something suddenly happened.
As the sunlight grew more intense, I felt a powerful electric shock run through my body! I trembled violently and almost fell to the ground under the power of this heavenly anointing. Then, suddenly, with lightning speed, my soul returned to my body in the church!
My wife, sitting next to me, realized something had happened to me and asked if I was okay. I told her I didn’t know what had happened either. However, I was trembling and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Since that experience, I always close my eyes during prayer and worship.
