Most Christians imagine the angel of God as a huge superhuman being dressed in white and with wings. They are not aware that sometimes God’s angel looks like an ordinary person.
What the Bible says.
First, we need to check what the written word of God in the Bible says. Listen to what our Heavenly Father says in Hebrews 13:2:
2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

The angels that visited Lot in Sodom looked like ordinary human beings.
Second, if you read the book of Genesis chapter 19, you will realise that God’s angels who visited Lot in the city of Sodom looked like ordinary men. This is the reason why these two angels were teased (they were made fun of and were provoked by men in this city).
Sometimes angels look like strangers who are trying to help you.
Third, many people facing difficult situations receive help from strangers without knowing that they are actually angels helping them. In such situations, these strangers (angels) suddenly disappear after completing their mission.
Angels disguise themselves as needy people.
Furthermore, many times God’s angels disguise themselves as needy people. In such situations, our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit test many Christians regarding their Christian lifestyle.
In some dreams, God’s angels look like ordinary human beings.
Moreover, angels appear to human beings in dreams, but many people fail to recognize them because in some dreams, God’s angels look like ordinary human beings.

Therefore, since sometimes God’s angels appear to people like ordinary human beings, we have to be careful in our ways of life. Let us always treat others well because in doing so we may be dealing with God’s angels.
