Your body is the temple of God.
First of all, we must understand that our body is the temple of God. Therefore, it is not recommended to consume alcohol, as it leads to lowered inhibitions and physical symptoms such as slurred speech and impaired coordination.
Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:
16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
The Holy Spirit in you will flee.
Second, a Christian should not take alcohol because it may cause the Holy Spirit in you to flee. Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Every Christian is consecrated to God.
Third, we must know that as soon as a person becomes a Christian, that person’s life and body are consecrated to God. Consecration means the separation of oneself from things that are unclean, especially anything that would contaminate one’s relationship with God. Consecration also means sanctification, holiness, and purity.
Every Christian is a Nazirite.
Additionally, every Christian is a Nazirite or a minister of God. For this reason, as a Nazirite, you are not supposed to take any fermented beverage.
Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:
2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of dedication to the Lord as a Nazirite, 3 they must abstain from wine and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar made from wine or other fermented drink. They must not drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins.
