After receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have to guard against many things that may take you back into Satan’s Kingdom. Below I give 20 things that will kill your salvation in Christ.
1. Lust.
You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; 28 but I say to you that everyone who [so much as] looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart
Mathew 5:27-28
2. Sexual immorality.
Run away from sexual immorality [in any form, whether thought or behavior, whether visual or written]. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]?
1 Corinthians 6:18-19
3. Witchcraft.
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead
Deuteronomy 18:10-11
4. Hatred.
Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[a] is still in the darkness. 10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister[b] lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.
1 John 2:9-11
5. Anger.
You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[b][c] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’[d] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Mathew 5:21-22
6. Jealousy.
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
James 3:16
7. Envy.
A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
Proverbs 14:30
8. Drunkenness.
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21
9. Creating divisions.
10. Malice.
But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
Colossians 3:8
11. Bitterness.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Mathew 6:14-16
12. Unforgiveness.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Mathew 6:14-16
13. Practicing magic arts.
But as for the cowards and unbelieving and abominable [who are devoid of character and personal integrity and practice or tolerate immorality], and murderers, and sorcerers [with intoxicating drugs], and idolaters and occultists [who practice and teach false religions], and all the liars [who knowingly deceive and twist truth], their part will be in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
Revelation 21:8
14. Murder.
You shall not commit murder (unjustified, deliberate homicide).
Exodus 20:13
15. Practicing falsehood (telling lies).
Lying lips are extremely disgusting to the Lord, But those who deal faithfully are His delight.
Proverbs 12:22
16. If you cause any child to sin.
Whoever receives and welcomes one [a]child like this in My name receives Me; 6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble and sin [by leading him away from My teaching], it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.
Mathew 18:5-6
17. If you call anyone a fool.
But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice against him shall be guilty before the court; and whoever speaks [contemptuously and insultingly] to his brother, [a]‘Raca (You empty-headed idiot)!’ shall be guilty before the supreme court (Sanhedrin); and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the [b]fiery hell.
Mathew 5:22
18. Adultery.
Marriage is to be held in honor among all [that is, regarded as something of great value], and the marriage bed undefiled [by immorality or by any sexual sin]; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
Hebrews 13:4
19. Theft.
You shall not steal [secretly, openly, fraudulently, or through carelessness]
Exodus 20:15
20. Stopping to believe in God and Jesus Christ.
