Dear reader, are you experiencing sadness right now? Then you better stop feeling sad and start rejoicing because of what I am going to tell you. This article gives you seven reasons to thank God in times of sadness.
1. You are a in a blessed situation.
Jesus said so. Luke 6:21:
Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
2. Jesus Christ will comfort you, because he promised to do so.
Jesus Christ said::
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Mathew 5:4
3. What you are going through will teach you many lessons:
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12
4. What you are going through will bring you closer to God.
Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.
4 I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.[b]
5 For you, God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
Psalm 61
5. Jesus Christ will carry your burdens.
Jesus said in Mathew 11:28
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
6. God will restore your lost years.
This is what the Lord says:
“‘I will restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents
and have compassion on his dwellings;
the city will be rebuilt on her ruins,
and the palace will stand in its proper place
Jeremiah 30:18
7. Thank God because you are still alive.
Many miracles will happen in your life as long as you live.
