Dear reader, it is written in the Bible that our bodies are supposed to be the temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6:19-20). Unfortunately, many Christians get so much preoccupied with worldly concerns that the Holy Spirit cannot dwell within us all the time.
In this article I give you seven things you can do to attract the Holy Spirit back into your body. It is this act of the Holy Spirit coming into your body that some Christians call the anointing, or God’s presence.
Doing any act of holiness.
Every time you decide to do an act of holiness, the Holy Spirit will come quickly and dwell within you. I remember one time I had picked one item from my place of work for use at my home. A few days later I felt that I had sinned against God by keeping this item in my home.
For this reason I decided to take this item back to my place of work. The moment I removed this item out of my house and put it in my car to take it back at my place of work, I felt the mighty power of the Holy Spirit come into my body.
Worshipping and praising God.
Many times when you start worshipping and praising God, the Holy Spirit will come and dwell within your body. This is exactly what happened when the young boy David started worshipping God.
Not only did the Holy Spirit come into David’s body, the Holy Spirit also quickly entered into King Saul’s body. As a result, all the evil spirits that were tormenting King Saul fled.
Prayer.
When you start praying to God, you attract the Holy Spirit to come and dwell within you.
Reading God’s written Word in the Bible.
As soon as you start reading God’s written Word in the Bible, the Holy Spirit will come and dwell within you.
Repentance.
When you repent of your sins, asking God for forgiveness, the Holy Spirit will come and dwell within you.
Seeking God and God’s Kingdom.
When you seek God and His Kingdom, the Holy Spirit will come and dwell within you.
Attending Christian meetings.
Remember that Jesus Christ is always present where two or three persons are gathered in his name. If you join such a meeting, the Holy Spirit will come and dwell within your body.
