What you missed in the Garden of Eden.
Dear reader, you may find this hard to believe, but it is the real truth. The Garden of Eden was not ordinary. God had many reasons for putting this garden on earth.
When man sinned and God took him away, you missed out on so many things. In this article, I show you what you missed in the Garden of Eden.
Our Current Struggles.
Many Christians today struggle to attain the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Some find it very difficult to love others, others lack joy or peace in their hearts. Then there are those who are not patient, kind or good at all. Other Christians struggle to be faithful or gentle and some lack complete self-control in their hearts and bodies.
God’s Original Plan.
At creation, God’s original plan for man was that he would not struggle to acquire love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
The Garden of Eden.
God created the Garden of Eden for a special purpose. This garden was unlike any other garden on Earth. Its fruits were not ordinary fruits as the following scripture states:
8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:8-9
Fruit in the Garden of Eden.
God planted each tree in the Garden of Eden for a purpose. Some trees bore physical fruit of love, others bore real fruit of joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
The Purpose of the Fruit in Eden.
God’s plan was that if a person needed peace in their heart, they would not struggle. They would simply go to the Garden of Eden and pick the fruit of peace, eat it, and instantly feel great peace in their heart!
If another person needed patience in their heart, they would not struggle to acquire it. They would simply go to the Garden of Eden, find a tree that bore the fruit of patience, eat it, and instantly acquire patience!
If you wanted faithfulness, you would not struggle. You would simply go to the Garden of Eden and find a tree that bore the fruit of faithfulness. You would pick a fruit, eat it, and you would instantly become a faithful person.
The only exception.
The only exception in the Garden of Eden was the fruit of the tree of knowledge. If man ate this fruit, he would gain supernatural wisdom from God. The wisdom to do all that is impossible (Genesis 2:16-17).
What you missed in Eden.
So you can see that if the Garden of Eden was still here today and we all ate its fruit, people would not be fighting with each other, we would all have joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Your second chance.
You should not worry about the lost Eden. God is giving you a second chance. If you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior and successfully die in the Lord, you will find and eat these fruits of the new Garden of Eden in heaven.
As a result, in heaven you will have everlasting love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control simply by eating the required fruits.
