God’s Remedy for Pride.
Dear reader, God has a remedy for pride for every Christian. Unfortunately, most Christians do not know where to find this remedy. In this article, I show what God’s remedy for pride is and where you can find it.
How the Lord showed me this remedy.
More than ten years ago, my wife and I went to the funeral of a friend’s mother. I always make it a habit to be on time at functions and gatherings. Even at this funeral, my wife and I were among the first to arrive from afar. When we looked around, we realized that no one knew us. Our friend was busy in a neighboring house helping with the funeral arrangements.
As we were wondering where to sit, a woman serving as our usher who had never seen us before greeted us and led us both to a front row seat in a tent half full of mourners and the worship choir. Soon the tent filled up and there was not a single empty seat.
As more worthy people arrived and had nowhere to sit, the emcee did the unexpected. He announced that the service was being rearranged. He humbly implored all of us in the front row to move to the third row. I am a person who does not like to get into arguments, so I motioned to my wife to move us as instructed.
God comes to my new location.
After settling into the third row seat, I felt so bad that my wife and I had been treated this way. I didn’t know that God was watching my heart from heaven. Then suddenly, something happened. I felt a sudden presence of the Spirit of God. A voice that my wife and the others sitting near me did not hear told me to open the Bible I was holding in my hands.
I obeyed and randomly opened the Bible I was holding. The page I randomly opened contained Philippians chapter 2. As I was wondering what to read, something supernatural happened.
Verse 3 suddenly expanded and gently flew off the page into my eyes. It was like a beautiful butterfly flying off a multi-colored flower!
This verse reads:
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility esteem others better than yourselves.
Philippians 2:3
All of a sudden, I felt peace and joy in my heart. God had given me a remedy that got rid of my pride! Since then, all my pride has disappeared, because I have always esteemed others better than myself.

So there you have it. The remedy that God has for all Christians is found in the Bible book of Philippians, chapter 2, verse 3. If you do what God tells you in this scripture, you will always be at peace and will never be proud again in your life.
