Dear reader, many Christians depart from this world and they find difficulty entering the gate to heaven because of this one simple question.
Were you reading God’s written word?
As a Christian stands outside the gate of heaven, the angel will first ask that person a preliminary question:
You say you are a Christian; tell us, were you reading the written word of God?
The Christian outside the gate will happily reply like this:
Yes!, I had a Bible and I used to read the written word of God!
Here is the question that has kept many Christians out of Heaven.
The Christian’s answer will please God’s angels and they will ask him the following question which has kept many Christians from entering Heaven:
Alright, mention the ten commandments of God.
Many Christians today do not know the ten commandments.
If you went to a church of one thousand people today and you gave out a test for each person to write down all the ten commandments of God, you would be shocked by the number that fails that test.
The reason why God’s angels ask about the ten commandments.
God’s angels will ask about the ten commandments because most of the teaching by our Lord Jesus Christ, and in the New Testament is based on the ten commandments of God.
You shall have no other Gods before me.
It will be very difficult for Christians who worship the devil, and those who practice sorcery or witchcraft to enter heaven.
You shall not make for yourselves an idol.
God’s angels will refuse to open the gate for any Christian who worshipped idols.
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
Some Christians will be denied entry into Heaven because they did not honor the Lord’s day.
Honor your father and your mother.
There are Christians who will be denied entry into heaven because they dishonored their parents.
You shall not murder.
Some Christians will be denied entry into heaven not only for murder, but also because of anger. Jesus equated anger to murder (see .Matthew 5:21-22).
You shall not commit adultery.
Many Christians will be denied entry into heaven not only for real adultery, but also for lust. Jesus equated lustful hearts to adultery (see Matthew 5:28).
You shall not steal.
Corruption has spread in many countries and Christians have forgotten that stealing can prevent their entry into heaven.
You shall not give false testimony.
Giving false information or accusing someone falsely (Luke 3:14) will prevent many Christians from entering heaven.
You shall not covet.
The eyes of many Christians have been taken over by too much love for money and covetousness. This will prevent them from entering heaven. They forget what our Father in Heaven said in his written word:
Let your conduct be without covetousness;
be content with such things as you have.
For He Himself has said,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
This question has blocked some Christians from Heaven.
