Dear reader, if you are a Christian, you must make a habit of greeting people, because greeting someone opens God’s blessings.
Our Heavenly Father always greets us.
To begin, if we look at the epistles (Letters) of the New Testament, they all begin with greetings from God our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
First, let’s look at the book of Romans. It is written in Romans 1:7 that:
To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
As a matter of fact, these greetings are repeated at the beginning of each book (Epistle or Letter) from the book of 1 Corinthians to the book of Revelation.
Our Lord Jesus Christ always greets us.
Second, let us look at the greetings of our Lord Jesus Christ in the last book of the Bible, which is the book of Revelation. The word of God says in Revelation 1:4-6 that:
To the seven churches in the province of Asia:
Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits[a] before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
Every greeting carries with it God’s blessings.
Therefore, every time you greet someone with good and holy intentions, the blessings of our Heavenly Father flow from heaven through you to the person you greet.
Since the Holy Spirit dwells in you, the mighty power of God our Father and Jesus Christ will flow from you to the person you greet. For this reason, if you are a Christian, you must make it a habit to greet people, because greeting someone opens the blessings of God.
Mary’s greetings totally changed Elizabeth’s life.
Plus, you don’t have to read a lot of books to understand the power of a Christian greeting someone else. Just read the lives of Mary and Elizabeth as recorded in Luke chapter 1.
As a perfect example, one day Elizabeth, who was in the last months of her pregnancy, was sitting at home, tired and exhausted from the day’s work. Then she heard someone knock at the door. She quickly went to open the door and realized with joy that it was Mary.
As soon as Mary greeted Elizabeth, the power of the Holy Spirit came down from heaven and filled Mary. Then the same power of the Holy Spirit that was in Mary transmitted like an electric shock through Elizabeth’s body and soul.
This supernatural energy was so powerful that it also filled the baby in Elizabeth’s womb.
Listen to what the written word of God says in Luke 1:39-41:
At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Greeting someone opens God’s blessings.
