Dear reader, our Heavenly Father begs you to avoid tit-for-tat because revenge will make your situation worse. This article shows you why revenge is a dangerous option.

Revenge will keep you in spiritual bondage.

First of all, you must understand that revenge does not offer a solution to your problem. In fact, it can cause things to escalate unnecessarily. The search for revenge often leads to retaliation, causing endless suffering.

You will be kept in poverty.

Second, revenge is not as cheap as you might think. It will cost you money and, over time, could deplete much of your financial resources. Most importantly, it will open the door for Satan and demons to enter and destroy your life.

It can bring you sickness.

Third, revenge can bring you a lot of stress that can greatly affect your health, even though you might not know it. It can bring you annoying headache,  sleeping troubles, feeling unwell and lack of focus at work.

If you choose revenge as your better option, it can bring you many health problems including high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, obesity and diabetes.

It can lead your to destruction.

Ultimately, revenge will drive you into sin, and if you don’t repent before God, the demons will drag you into hell where there is eternal destruction.

Jesus Christ is against revenge.

Most important, our Lord Jesus Christ is against revenge. Listen to what he said when he taught about this matter:

38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[a] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

Matthew 5:38-42

Our Heavenly Father tells us not to revenge.

Finally, listen to what our Heavenly Father says about revenge:

19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,

“I will take revenge;
    I will pay them back,”[a]
    says the Lord.

Romans 12:19
