Dear reader, I would like to reveal something in heaven that you may not know. Satan attends God’s court sessions day and night.

Is there a court in heaven?

First, you might be wondering if there is a court in heaven. The answer is yes: there is a court in heaven and Saran attends this court constantly, day and night (see Revelation 12:10).

Listen to what God’s word in the Bible says:

[Satan], the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night.

Revelation 12:10

Who participates in this court?

Second, we need to know who participates in this heavenly court. As a matter of fact, our Heavenly Father is always the Judge, while Satan is always the accuser. Christians are the accused, while our Lord Jesus Christ is their advocate or defender. Satan always brings cases against  sinful Christians.

The Bible has one example of such a heavenly court session:

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan[a] standing at his right side to accuse him.

Zechariah 3:1

What laws are used in the heavenly court?

Whereas court judgments on earth rely mainly on a country’s constitution, the judgements in heavenly courts depend on God’s word written in the Bible. Satan knows every verse in the Bible and he uses relevant verses to accuse Christians before God.

The implication here is that every Christian must live according to God’s word written in the Bible. If you live against any Bible verse, Satan will use that Scripture to accuse you before God. Since God always respects his written word, many Christians find themselves on the loosing side.

Can the verdict of God’s court be against a Christian?

As a matter of fact, if Satan urgues his case well, God can make a judgement against the accused Christian. For example, in the Book of Job Satan urgued his case against Job so well that God gave Satan permission to test Job.

Listen to what God said after Satan’s urguments:

12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”

Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Job 1:12

What are the consequences of God’s rulings in the heavenly court?

As a result of God’s rulings in the court of heaven, some Christians may find themselves being attacked by Satan and demons as it was in the case of Job.

Secondly, some departed Christians may find themselves being denied entry into heaven. Instead, such Christians find themselves spending their eternity in hell.

The weapon to stop Satan is actually found in Luke 11:4
