First, we need to know that God is inherently holy, meaning He is without sin and perfectly righteous. Sin, by its nature, is the opposite of God’s holiness.
Sin is the Barrier.
Second, you have to understand that sin creates a barrier or division between you and God. This barrier prevents us from experiencing the fullness of God’s presence, favor, and fellowship.
Sin makes you rebel against God.
Third, sin is not just a set of actions, but an act of rebellion against God’s authority and an offense against His character. It’s a rejection of God’s will and a turning away from Him.
Consequences of Sin.
The written word of God in the Bible teaches that sin leads to spiritual death, which is separation from God. It also brings about physical death and other negative consequences.
Restoration.
