Dear reader, Christian maturity comes after tests and trials. Therefore, You’re a baby Christian if your faith hasn’t been tested yet.

The Bible is composed of individuals whose faith was greatly tested.

First, let’s look at the Bible. This great book would not have been written without the men and women whose faith was greatly tested.

To name a few, look at Abraham, who left his homeland without knowing where he was going. Noah, whose faith was tested while building the ark. Jacob, who was deceived into thinking his son Joseph had been eaten by wild animals. Joseph, who went through great trials before becoming prime minister in Egypt. Moses, whose faith was greatly tested when he led the Israelites out of Egypt. Hannah, who was married but childless until she gave birth to Samuel. David, who was greatly tested before becoming king. Job, who was greatly tested before becoming prosperous again.

All these men and women became great and their stories were recorded in the Bible because their faith was greatly tested.

The faith of our Lord Jesus Christ was greatly tested.

Second, let us consider our Lord Jesus Christ. His faith was greatly tested when he endured insults, humiliation, torture, and finally death on the cross. Because his faith was greatly tested, and he passed the test, our Heavenly Father exalted his name abouve all other names.

Listen to what the Bible says after the faith of Jesus Christ was tested:

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,  in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-1

Conclusion.

Therefore, consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

The weapon to stop Satan is actually found in Luke 11:4
