To begin with, God will secure you from hell if you declare that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in his resurrection . This confession is an outward expression of a genuine inner transformation. In fact, it aligns you with the grace of God and rescues you from eternal separation from Him.
Believe in your heart.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. There are two vital components of salvation: inward faith and outward proclamation. Believing in the heart involves a total surrender to God. You recognize that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross paid the ultimate penalty for all your sins. Confessing with the mouth is the public affirmation of this allegiance.
You need to recognize the divine authority of Jesus Christ.
When you declare that Jesus is Lord, you are acknowledging His divine authority over your life. You relinquish self-reliance. Crucially, this declaration is not merely the recitation of a formula or a trivial utterance. True confession is inseparable from sincere faith. It signifies that you rely completely on the righteousness of Christ, rather than any good works you can accomplish on your own. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
You will be justified before our Heavenly Father.
Consequently, by authentically surrendering your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and trusting in His resurrection, you are justified before God. This spiritual transformation reconciles you with God who created you, ensuring that you are granted eternal life and spared from the judgment of hell.
