Dear reader, it is always better to use silent prayer. Here are 7 reasons why silent prayer is more powerful than praying in tongues.
Is silent prayer the same as meditation?
No, meditation is not the same as silent prayer. Silent Prayer is unspoken communication with God. It involves a dynamic of directing thoughts to God, asking for guidance, giving thanks, or expressing personal desires, even if no words are voiced. Meditation is a practice of mental training, awareness, and stillness. Rather than addressing an external deity, it often focuses on calming the mind, observing thoughts without judgment, or being receptive to the present moment
You can pray anywhere.
To begin with, you can pray to our Heavenly Father anywhere—for example, on an airplane—by praying silently. However, this is not possible when praying in tongues.
No one will notice you.
Secondly, no one notices you when you pray silently. In contrast, it is easy for someone to notice your presence if you pray in tongues.
You can combine silent prayer with relevant Bible passages.
Furthermore, you can combine silent prayer with relevant Bible passages in your thoughts. As a result, the Word of God makes your prayers invincible. Conversely, this is impossible when praying in tongues.
Your heart connects directly with God’s heart.
Likewise, silent prayer allows you to connect your heart directly with God’s heart. However, this is difficult to do when praying in tongues.
You know what you are saying to God.
You also know exactly what you are saying to God during silent prayer. In contrast, you do not know what you are uttering when praying in tongues.
You can worship God in your heart.
Interestingly, you can combine worship with prayer during silent prayer. However, you cannot combine prayer in tongues with worship.
You can pray for a longer time.
Finally, with silent prayer, you can pray for more hours. Unfortunately, it is easy to get tired when praying in tongues.
In conclusion, silent prayer is so powerful that I advise you to always use it when communicating with our Heavenly Father.
