Dear reader, if you want to live a victorious Christian life, then start to agree with God on the promises He has given you through His Word. This post shows you how to agree with God.
God’s wonderful promises to you.
First, God has made many wonderful promises to you. He is taking you to a land flowing with milk and honey. The only way to reach this promised land is to accept what He says. The devil will create fear, worry, and doubt, but I encourage you not to accept these suggestions. If you accept them, you will never see the beautiful life God has promised you.
Israel’s spies didn’t agree with God’s promises.
In fact, some of the spies Moses sent to spy the promised land of Canaan entertained fear. They didn’t agree with the promises of God, and this infuriated God.
The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them? 12 I will strike them down with a plague and destroy them, but I will make you into a nation greater and stronger than they.
Numbers 14:11-12
Caleb agreed with God.
On the contrary, one of the Israel spies, Caleb, decided to agree with what God’s promises.
Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.
Numbers 13:30
God will reward your faith and your agreement with Him.
Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the Lord fills the whole earth, 22 not one of those who saw my glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times— 23 not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their ancestors. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it. 24 But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.
Numbers 14:21-24
Examples of how to agree with God.
1. I will not fear, for my God is with me; I will not be dismayed, for He is my God. He will strengthen me and help me; He will uphold me with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:13).
2. No weapon forged against me shall prevail (Isaiah 54:17).
3. I am testing God with my full tithe and I am sure He will throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that I will have no room enough to store it (Malachi 3:10).
The Bible is full of God’s promises to you like the examples I have mentioned above. Read it daily and start agreeing with what God promises you. Soon you will find yourself in the land God has promised you.
Agreeing with God will make you very powerful.
