Dear reader, every challenge you face comes for a divine purpose. Therefore, consider it pure joy whenever you face trials.
Every challenge is meant to make you stronger.
First, we need to understand that as you walk with God, each trial comes for a reason. In fact, every challenge is planned by God to build your faith and to make you stronger.
All the powerful men and women in the Bible faced great trials.
Second, if you read the Bible, you will realize that all the great men and women mentioned, from Genesis to Revelation, endured great trials. Let’s start with Abraham. He was so strong with God that he could even hear His voice. Despite this unusual relationship, Abraham struggled every night with the burden of not having children.
We then move on to Jacob. What would you do if one day you were told that your beloved son or daughter had been devoured by wild animals? Jacob fainted and mourned Joseph until he finally discovered that his son was still alive in Egypt. This experience greatly strengthened his faith in God.
As you continue reading the Bible, you will meet people like Joseph, Moses, David, Elijah, Hannah, Esther, Daniel, Mary, the mother of Jesus, and our Lord Jesus Christ. All of these people endured great trials that strengthened their faith. Therefore, consider every trial you encounter as pure joy, for every trial makes you stronger.
Listen to what God is telling you.
In conclusion, listen to what our Heavenly Father is telling you if you are facing a challenge:
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4
