Dear reader, do you want our Heavenly Father to focus his eyes on you? Do this, if you want to get God’s immediate attention.
Why does God often look away from many people?
First, we need to understand why our Heavenly Father turns his eyes away from many people. The truth is that God removes his eyes away from people who sin. In fact, it is sin that separates us from God.
Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:
But your iniquities have separated
you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you,
so that he will not hear.
Isaiah 59:2
Your repentance will draw God’s immediate attention.
Therefore. there is only one action that will make God change his mind about you: Repentance. If you repent of your sins, and you decide to change your ways, God will leave whatever he was doing and focus his eyes on you.
Look at how Nineveh drew God’s immediate attention.
If you want to see the power of repentance, look at what happened to the inhabitants of the city of Nineveh. Something supernatural happened after they repented of their wickedness and changed their ways.
Listen to what the Bible says:
10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
Jonah 3:10
The father who turned his eyes away from his other children.
Furthermore, the Bible mentions one father who forgot all his other children and focused his eyes on his son who had repented.
Listen to what the Bible says:
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
Luke 15:21-24
All Heaven will focus on you if repent.
As a matter of fact, all heaven will come to a standstill and focus on you, if you decide to turn away from sin. Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says:
7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Luke 15:7
