1. You are walking towards your fall.
When you flaunt your riches, then you are working for your ruin. Listen to what the written word of God says in Matthew 23:12:
Whoever exalts himself will be humbled,
and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
2. You are inviting curses.
In addition, when you flaunt your riches, you are inviting curses, especially from the poor who don’t get a chance to be like you.
To avoid such curses, it is better to display your wealth by helping people in need.
3. You are inviting thieves.
Furthermore, there are more thieves near you than you think. By displaying your riches, you are inviting them to come rob you.
4. You are taking away your own peace.
Also, when you show off your riches, you are taking away the peace that God has given you. Many people, including friends, relatives, strangers, fraudsters, and thieves, will bother you and want to take a piece of your wealth.
5. You are walking towards death.
More importantly, death invites you when you start showing off your riches. Even some of your loved ones, including your own children, will wish you death to take possession of your fortune.
