God requires a marriage where the wife is loved, respected, and enjoys open communication from her husband. God expects the man to listen attentively and provide emotional support. He wants the wife to feel secure and appreciated, and to experience emotional intimacy through affection and conversation.
Furthermore, God wants the man to provide practical support, such as helping with household chores. He also expects the man to collaborate with his wife, encourage her personal growth, and pursue common goals.
How some men disrespect their wives.
First, some men disrespect their wives by ignoring them or not listening to them. They don’t listen to their wives when they speak and exclude them from their discussions. Second, some men constantly criticize their wives, minimizing their efforts or contributions.
Third, some men fail to provide emotional support to their wives or discuss their triumphs. Furthermore, some men disrespect their wives by publicly humiliating them, mocking them, ridiculing them, or embarrassing them in front of family, friends, or strangers. Furthermore, other men disrespect their wives by lying. They become dishonest with their wives instead of maintaining honesty and integrity in thought and action.
Some men constantly threaten their wives. Typically, they threaten to end the relationship or marriage. Furthermore, some men disrespect their wives by ignoring their boundaries or personal needs, by not supporting their goals or dreams, and by engaging in disloyalty or infidelity.
God will shame any man who disrespects his wife.
Considering all of the above, God will shame men who disrespect their wives. God will shame these men by using public embarrassment, financial loss, illness, and by causing defeat in their lives.
