The devil is after your mind to disconnect you from heaven. This article shows you how Satan prevents your mind from interacting with God.
1. Lust.
First, to disconnect your mind from interacting with our Heavenly Father, Satan uses lust to preoccupy your mind. Lust is an intense, often uncontrollable desire or urge, most often referring to a strong sexual desire.
You may not have room for God if your mind is preoccupied with sexual desire.
2. Anger.
Second, the devil may use anger to detach your mind from the Kingdom of Heaven. Anger is a strong, intense feeling of displeasure, annoyance, or hostility, often in response to a perceived provocation, hurt, threat, or injustice. It is very difficult for you to connect with Heaven when you are angry.
3. Pornography.
Third, Satan uses pornography to disconnect the minds of many Christians from our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Pornography is the watching of printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate sexual excitement.
While watching pornography, it becomes very difficult for your mind to connect with God.
3. Worry.
Furthermore, the devil can stop your mind from communicating with God by bringing worry. Worry is a form of repetitive negative thinking focused on potential future threats or problems, where an individual feels anxious and apprehensive about what might happen and their ability to cope.
When you are worried, it becomes difficult for your mind to communicate with God.
4. Fear.
Additionally, the devil may bring fear into your mind. Fear is the act of beeing afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or harmful. When you become afraid, it becomes very difficult for your mind to interact with God.
What our Heavenly Father says.
Listen to what our Heavenly Father says about this matter:
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
