Every kingdom has its laws, just as every country has its constitution. The Bible is the constitution of God’s Kingdom. Therefore, it is a crime for a Christian not to read the Bible.
Jesus Christ always read the written word of God.
First of all, if you are a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, you must understand that Jesus always read the written word of God. Therefore, He always quoted the written word of God.
If you read the Bible, you will find that Jesus Christ quoted the Old Testament 78 times. He quoted Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Amos, Jonah, Micah, and Malachi. He referred to the Old Testament as “the Scriptures,” “the word of God,” and “the wisdom of God.”
The written word of God is the law of God.
Second, every Christian must know that the written word of God in the Bible is the law of God. You cannot live a successful Christian life without knowing the laws of God.
The Bible leads you to heaven.
Third, Christians must know that it is the law of God in the Bible that will lead you to heaven, where there is eternal peace. Without the law of God, you are headed for hell and eternal suffering.
The Bible is your weapon against Satan.
Furthermore, every Christian must know that the written word of God is your number one weapon against Satan and demons. How can you fight the devil without the written word of God in the Bible? In fact, during His temptation in the wilderness, our Lord Jesus Christ used the written word of God to defeat the devil.
God will judge you according to the Bible.
Furthermore, no matter what the situation is, and after you depart from this world, our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and all the heavenly angels will judge you according to the word of God written in the Bible. Therefore, It is a crime for a Christian not to read the Bible.
