Dear reader, many people are locked in an invisible prison without knowing it. Only Jesus Christ can free you from a spiritual prison.
A spiritual prison tortures more than a visible prison.
First, we need to realise that a spiritual prison is more dangerous than a phsical prison. In fact, a spiritual prison tortures more than a visible prison.
Satan and demons are the keepers of a spiritual prison.
Second, we have to understand that the spiritual prison is not secured by visible men or women guards. Rather, a spiritual prison is guarded by Satan and powerful demons. No one can free you from these demonic forces except our Lord Jesus Christ.
Signs You’re in Spiritual Prison
What does a spiritual prison look like? There are many signs that you’re in a spiritual prison, but I’ll only mention a few in this article. Fear is the first sign. Then comes worry, physical and spiritual suffering, hardship, poverty, stagnation, hatred, dishonor, anger, and bitterness.
Jesus delivered a man who had been spiritually imprisoned.
Consider the example of a man who had spent many years in spiritual prison. Listen to what the Bible says about him:
3 This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
Mark 5:3-5
Interestingly, people saw this man, but they were unaware that he was possessed by Satan and thousands of demons. In fact, no doctor or any medical institution could treat this man.
Eventually, our Lord Jesus Christ commanded these spiritual forces to leave, and this man was completely freed.
