Remind God.
Dear reader, if you ever find yourself in a distressful situation, do not waste any time: go into prayer and start reminding God of some of the things I am going to mention in this post.
Remind God of the covenants.
When you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, God made many covenants with you. These covenants are in His written Word in the Bible. For example, you can remind God as follows:
Father, remember your covenant in Psalm 25:3 when you promised me that those who have hope in you will never be put to shame. Lord, please do not let me be put to shame.
God will remember.
When Egyptians severely oppressed the children of Israel, the latter went on their knees crying to God as they reminded him of the covenants he made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God heard their prayers and he actually remembered these covenants. Hear what the Bible says:
God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.
Exodus 2:24-25
Remind God of what you have done in his Kingdom.
Hezekiah was in great distress as death was all around him. Then he reminded God what he had done in his Kingdom as follows:
Please, Lord. Remember how I have served you[b] faithfully and with wholehearted devotion,[c] and how I have carried out your will.
Isaiah 38:3
God remembered what Hezekiah had contributed and he instantly saved him from death.
Remind God what your parents or grand parents contributed.
If you pray to God reminding him what your parents or grand parents contributed to His Kingdom, God will remember and help you.
