First, you must understand that serving God is not like any earthly mission. Just because God chooses you doesn’t mean that everything will go well for you – until God is satisfied that you are moving forward according to His expectations.
Storms of life.
As a matter of fact, storms in your life can be a major indicator that God has a special mission for you.
God wants you to draw your attention to him.
Generally speaking, God uses storms of life to draw your attention to him. God knows that without such a storm, you will never pay any attention to him. This is exactly what happened to Moses before he led the Israelites out of Egypt.
Also, as you may have realised, many people have turned to our Lord Jesus Christ because of the storms of life they have gone through.
Satan’s kingdom will fight you.
Second, Satan’s kingdom will know before you know that God has a special mission for you. Satan and the demons will see a bright light from heaven shining on you from the moment you are born. Therefore, demons will fight you to oppose God’s mission on your life.
The birth of Jesus Christ raised a great storm in his life.
When our Lord Jesus Christ was born, a great storm arose in his life. King Herod ordered the death of all the baby boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity.
Listen to what the word of God in the Bible says:
16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.
God’s selection of Joseph raised a great stom in his life.
