God hates lying lips.
First, we need to know what our God says about a person who lies. Listen to what God’s written word says in Proverbs 12:22:
22 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Telling a lie causes you to worship Satan.
Second, we need to understand that Satan is the source of all lies and falsehood. Therefore, whoever tells lies is actually glorifying Satan.
You worship Jesus Christ when you tell the truth.
On the contrary, our Lord Jesus Christ is the source of all the truth. Therefore you are worshipping our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit when you tell the truth.
Listen to what the Bible says:
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
John 8:44
A lying Christian will never enter Heaven.
Furthermore, lying tarnishes your entire holiness. Therefore, a Christian who lies risks being denied entry into heaven.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Always tell the truth.
