Dear reader, in addition to the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, God has given you a powerful Psalm to restore your perfect holiness. This Psalm will speed up the cleansing of your sins.
Why this Psalm was written.
In fact, this Psalm is for a person who has seriously sinned against our Heavenly Father. It is a Psalm admitting that a Christian has fallen into great sin and continually thinks of that sin, with sadness and shame.
This Psalm is intended to enable you to pour out your soul to God in prayer for mercy and grace.
What is this Psalm?
The Psalm this article is talking about is actually Psalm 51. This psalm begins with “Have mercy on me, O God.” This is the best place to begin confession: with an appeal to God’s steadfast love and abundant mercy.
Faced with the reality of guilt, you ask for purification: “Blank out my transgressions”, “wash me”, “purify me from my sin”.
This purification is accompanied by the desire to be in the presence of God. “Do not cast me away from your presence. And do not take your holy spirit from me. Don’t reject me.” ” Restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain in me a willing spirit”.
It is Psalm 51
God forgave King David because of this Psalm.
After committing adultery with Bathsheba, King David felt a great sense of shame and guilt. He was also severely condemned by the prophet Nathan. Accordingly, David went to a secret place where he recited Psalm 51.
After reciting this Psalm in secret, King David went before the prophet Nathan who said to David thus in 2 Samuel 12:13:
The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.
God will forgive you.
Therefore, if you have already accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of your life and read Psalm 51 with a sincere heart, God will take away all your sins. Our Heavenly Father will cleanse you with the blood of Christ and you will be restored to complete holiness.
