Are you going through a difficult time in any way? This article shows you  why sadness and trials are good for you.

What God is saying about your situation.

To begin with, let us hear what our Heavenly Father says about your situation. Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says in James 1:2-4:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Suffering will make you perfect.

Second, everyone God uses to advance His kingdom undergoes some form of suffering. The purpose of this suffering is to make you perfect. Similarly, after His temptation in the wilderness, our Lord Jesus Christ became perfect in God’s eyes.

Trials will make you a strong person.

Third, you must understand that sorrow and hardship will make you strong. Having gained experience with these trials, you will become unshakable.

You will become a wise person.

Moreover, sadness and hardship will teach you many lessons. Thus, suffering will make you a wise person.

God will give you spiritual strength.

Sadness and hardship can also be compared to spiritual fasting. Once sadness is dissipated, one gains spiritual strength.

You will be exalted.

In reality, God will promote you up after you have gone through suffering and trials. This is what happened after our Lord Jesus Christ was tortured, crucified, and buried.

Our Lord Jesus Christ went through a lot of trials.

Finally, we must learn from our Lord Jesus Christ. After suffering public humiliation, torture, crucifixion, and death, our heavenly Father exalted the name of Jesus above all other names on earth and in heaven. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
