Dear reader, sometimes it may be difficult for you to know that you have sinned. This article presents ten signs that you have sinned.
The Holy Spirit convicts you.
If you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you continue to sin, then the Holy Spirit will convict you that you have sinned. You will feel this conviction in your heart.
Dreams of being naked.
When you live a holy life with Jesus Christ and then sin against God, you may dream of seeing yourself naked. Nudity in a dream can be a sign of shame.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked.
Genesis 3:7
You dream wearing dirty clothes.
When you live a holy life with Jesus Christ and then sin against God, you may dream of seeing yourself wearing dirty or rough clothes.
Failures.
If you have been living a holy life and then you sin against God, you may experience unexpected failures.
When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.
Genesis 4:12
The Holy Spirit will flee.
After receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit will come and dwell within you. If you have been living a holy life and you sin against God, then the Holy Spirit may flee from your body.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Ephesians 4:30
Satan and demons may attack you.
Sin opens previously locked doors on your life for the entry of Satan and demons. They will start attacking you. This is what happened when Saul sinned against God.
The next day an evil[a] spirit from God came forcefully on Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the lyre, as he usually did. Saul had a spear in his hand 11 and he hurled it, saying to himself, “I’ll pin David to the wall.” But David eluded him twice.
1 Samuel 18:10-11
You may loose spiritual power.
Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!”
He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him. Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding grain in the prison.
Judges 16:20-21
Your enemies defeating you.
When you sin against God he may stop fighting your wars. Then your enemies will defeat you.
Demotion in life.
If you have been walking in holiness with Jesus Christ and then sin against God, you may experience a demotion in your work and daily life.
But Samuel said to him, “I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you as king over Israel!

Dreams of falling into Hell.
If you have been walking in holiness and then you sin against God, you may start dreaming seeing yourself fall into Hell.
Repent.
If you think you have sinned against God and you have seen any of the signs above, I advise you to go on your knees and repent of your sins before God. He will forgive you and you will begin a new life walking with him in holiness for it is written:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
But be very careful not to repeat the same sin again.
