2. Repentance for all your sins.
Second, preparing for the return of Jesus Christ means living a life of repentance. You must constantly look for any sin in your life that might prevent you from entering heaven.
When you discover this sin, you repent and promise God that you will not repeat this mistake again.
Furthermore, it is necessary to present oneself before Christ as a person without spot or wrinkle or anything of the sort. You must be holy and blameless.
3. Living a holy life.
Additionally, if you hate sin in all its forms and do your best to live a holy life, then you are ready for Jesus to return.
A person ready for the return of Jesus will flee sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery and idolatry. This person will also stay away from witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions and factions.
Additionally, this person will run away from envy; drunkenness, orgies, and things like that.
4. More focused on heavenly things.
Additionally, being ready for our Lord Jesus Christ means that your mind is more focused on heavenly things than on earthly things.
It means being more concerned about the Kingdom of God than the things of this world, knowing that earthly things are temporary but heavenly things are eternal.
As a result, an hour can’t go by without you thinking about heaven.
