Dear reader, you put yourself in grave danger in the eyes of God if you feel ashamed of your parents’ looks, age, social status, economic status, the way they dress, their poor education, their physical size, or because of their sickness.
God chose your parents for you.
Your journey did not start here on Earth as you may believe. It started in Heaven where Father in Heaven himself chose your parents for you. This was not your wish, but God’s wish. You should thank God for his choice.
In this article I show you 6 curses for feeling ashamed of your parents.
You have despised Father in Heaven.
By feeling ashamed of your parents, you are despising God who used your parents to bring you into this world.
You have disobeyed God’s written word.
When you feel ashamed of your parents, you are disregarding and disobeying God’s written word in the Bible that says:
Honor your father and your mother,
so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
Exodus 20:12
You have disregarded your parents’ investment in your life.
When you feel ashamed of your parents, then you have disregarded all the investment they put in your life together with all the sacrifices they made because of you.
Remember that when you were still a baby, sometimes you cried the whole night and your mother was deprived of many hours of sleep.
Remember all the sacrifices your parents made so that you grow healthy, you dress well, you are well educated and you grow as a responsible person.
You have rejected Jesus Christ.
When you feel ashamed of your parents, then you have felt ashamed of Jesus Christ. This is what Jesus Christ says:
Whoever is ashamed of me and my words,
the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory
and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
Luke 9:26
The tears of you parents.
The tears of your parents, because they are feeling rejected, will reach God in heaven. These tears will bring misfortunes in your life.
You may never enter Heaven.
If you feel ashamed of your parents, then God’s angels will wait for the day you depart from this world. God’s angels will remind you how you felt ashamed of your parents and they will refuse to open the gates of Heaven for you.
