Dear reader, you may not believe what I am about to tell you, but it is true. There are some spiritual things you can do and they postpone your death.
In this article I give you 7 spiritual things that you can do to escape death.
Drive fear from your life.
If you do not want to die, the very first thing you must do is to drive fear out of your life. Fear invites death. Start having faith in God. Faith in God invites life.
Confess that you will not die.
Many people die early because of the negative confessions they make. You hear them saying: “I think I am about to die”. You are inviting death when you start saying that you are about to die.
If you want death to run away from you, start confessing that:
I will not die, in the name of Jesus Christ.
When you talk like this, God will send his angels to save you from death.
Rebuking the spirit of death.
When you see death approaching, you can actually rebuke the spirit of death to go away from you. Death will listen and will spare your life. Say these words when you see death approaching:
I rebuke you spirit of death. Get away from me. I will not die. I will live to proclaim the good things God has done in my life.
Promising God to do something in his Kingdom.
God may save your life if you pledge to Him that if he saves your life, you will do something to promote his Kingdom on Earth.
Reminding God of the good things you have done on Earth.
God can save you from death if you remind him of the good things you have done on Earth. This is exactly what Hezekiah did and God saved him from death. Hear what Hezekiah did when he realized that he was about to die:
Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, 3 “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah: 5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.

Inviting people to pray for you.
You can postpone death by inviting people to pray for you. It is written in the Bible that a believer can pray for someone and God spares that person’s life (Mark 16:17-18).
Repentance.
You can save yourself from death by repenting to God of the bad things you have done. Promise God that if he saves your life, you will walk according to his ways.
This is exactly what the people of Nineveh did. They realized that they were about to die and repented. God spared their lives. ( Jonah 3:6-10 ).
