The world badly needs the light of Jesus Christ.
Dear reader, if God gave you an opportunity to view our planet Earth from Heaven, you would be shocked by what you see. Most of the earth globe is in complete darkness – even in areas getting sunshine!
Darkness over the developed world.
Even in those countries we call developed like the USA, Canada, UK, Spain, Japan, and Australia which are well lit at night with man-made lights, you will see great darkness covering most parts of their landmasses.
God’s original plan.
There is always light shining in Heaven. God’s initial plan was to have the Kingdom of Heaven extended direct to earth, whereby light would be shining all time.
When Adam and Eve sinned against God, this extension was cancelled and the earth went into total spiritual darkness.
Spiritual darkness.
The Sun, stars, moon, and the man-made lights you see can only take away physical darkness. They will never take away spiritual darkness.
This is why today most of the earth is seen as dark from Heaven.
God’s solution to spiritual darkness.
God found a solution to spiritual darkness by sending Jesus to earth. Jesus is supposed to be the light to every part of the Earth.
Jesus himself said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
The world has embraced darkness.
Many countries on earth have put aside or rejected the light of Jesus Christ and have instead embraced darkness. They have preferred darkness because it allows them to do whatever their hearts desire to do.
A great country like the United Kingdom, which was once greatly favored by God to be a source of spiritual light to all nations has also slowly faded into darkness. What happened to the Church Missionary Society?
What you can do about this darkness.
You can contribute towards the removal of darkness from earth by doing anything that will lead to the name of Jesus being glorified.
Light will gradually shine in every part of the earth where Jesus Christ, who is the light of this world, is honored and accepted as their Lord and Savior.
