Medicine against Satan.
Dear reader, you may find some difficulty believing this, but I have verified and it is the real truth. God has given all Christians a medicine against Satan.
I am not talking of the ordinary medications you get from the pharmacy. This medicine against Satan is actually found in the Bible.
How most medicines work.
Most medicines work by stopping the action of disease-causing organisms that invade the body. The medicine against Satan I am talking about is actually preventive. When you take it, you will stop Satan from invading your life.
How Satan operates.
The name Satan means “an enemy who accuses” (Job 1:6 Amplified Bible). This is the first fact you have to know if you want to understand how Satan operates. Without making accusations against Christians, Satan will have no work to do.
Satan daily goes before God to make accusations against God’s children. To convince God that Christians have sinned against him.
When God is convinced that these accusations have some basis in them, he gives Satan permission to carry out temptations and trials against you.
How Satan accused Job.
After presenting himself before God in heaven (Job 1:6) and (Job 2:1), Satan started accusing Job before God. Listen to what Satan told God:
“Then Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not put a hedge [of protection] around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands [and conferred prosperity and happiness upon him], and his possessions have increased in the land.” Job 1:9-10
In other words, Satan was telling God that Job loved God only because the Lord had given him protection and blessed him abundantly.
God Gave Satan permission to test Job.
After Satan’s accusation, God permitted Satan to go and tempt Job. (Job 1:12 and Job 2:6). Like many Christians today, poor Job did not know what was taking place in heaven. He just saw calamities falling upon him and his family.
Here is the medicine God has given you.
God has given you medicine to prevent Satan from getting permission from God to tempt you. This medicine is found in Luke 11:4. You take this medicine by saying these words:
‘And forgive us our sins,
For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us [who has offended or wronged us].
And [a]lead us not into temptation [[b]but rescue us from evil].’”
In the vision God gave me, he said that if my people, who are called by my name, pray to me now and then as indicated in Luke 11:4, then I will not give Satan permission to tempt them.
This is the medicine God has given us against Satan.
