Dear reader, just as he did to the Rich Man, Heavenly Father can destroy a person by sending him into a world of everlasting torture, suffering, and gnashing teeth. Despite this truth, there are certain types of people God will never destroy, and I would like to show them to you in this article.
A truly repentant person.
It will be difficult for God to destroy a person who has truly repented of his sins. A person who has promised God that he will never repeat that sinful life again. This is exactly what happened when the people in the city of Nineveh repented before God.
Listen to what the Bible says about God’s reaction:
When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways,
he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
Jonah 3:10
A person who calls on the name of Jesus Christ.
God will never destroy a person who calls upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in the Bible that:
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’[a]
Acts 2:21
A honest person who is fruitful in God’s Kingdom.
If a person is honestly serving God and is fruitful in God’s Kingdom, it will be difficult for God to destroy that person.
Thus says the Lord:
“As the new wine is found in the cluster,
And one says, ‘Do not destroy it,
For a blessing is in it,’
So will I do for My servants’ sake,
That I may not destroy them all.
Isaiah 65:8
