3 Main signs that your love for God has become cold

Because of the increase of wickedness,

the love of most will grow cold.

Matthew 24:12

In this article I share with you three main signs that a person’s love for God our Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit has grown cold.

If you no longer fear to sin.

First, a person’s love for God becomes cold if that person no longer fears to sin. This is clearly reflected in the life of King David. Initially King David feared sin because he had a great love for God.

Later this love grew cold and he could no longer fear killing an innocent peron. This is how he ended up killing Uriah who was a flawless soldier.

The Hebrew midwives in Egypt had a great fear of God and for this reason they were afraid of killing the newly born Hebrew babies. Because of their reverance for God, they received many heavenly blesssings.

Listen to what the written word of God in the Bible says about these midwives:

And because the midwives feared God,

he gave them families of their own.

Exodus 1:21.

If you no longer read God’s written word in the Bible.

Second, your love for God has grown cold if you no longer have time to read the Bible. The written word of God in the Bible is like the voice of Heavenly Father speaking to you. If you no longer have time to hear God’s voice through his written word, then your love for God has truly become cold.

When you don’t pray anymore.

As an illustration, Jesus Christ placed great value on his personal relationship with Heavenly Father. For this reason, a night would never pass without Jesus going to an isolated place pray.

Praying means that you have developed love and a personal relationship with Heavenly Father. If you no longer pray, it means that your love for God has become cold.
