Are you going through trials? Then thank God, because most times He uses these trials to train you for great works to come. Let us look at a few examples of how God used these trials.

Abraham.

First, Abraham went through the trial of childlessness. God was training him for so many offspring to come.

Joseph.

The second person is Joseph. He was destined to be a great leader in Egypt. God took him through the trials of betrayal by his own brothers, being exiled in foreign lands, slavery, false accusations, and imprisonment.

Samson.

Next was Samson. He was destined to be a great fighter. In his youth, God took him through the trials of fighting lions.

King David.

Another person was David. He was destined to be a great king. Before being crowned, God had taken the young David through the trials of fighting wild animals, pastoring sheep, fighting Goliath, worshiping God using simple instruments, and fighting many battles that he won.

King David’s mighty warriors.

Jashobeam,[b] a Hakmonite, was chief of King David’s officers[c]; God took him through the trial of raising his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed in one encounter.

Abishai the brother of Joab was one of David’s commanders. God used his trial of raising his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed, and so he became as famous commander.

Benaiah son of Jehoiada, a valiant fighter from Kabzeel, performed great exploits. God took him through the trial of striking down Moab’s two mightiest warriors. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion.  And he struck down an Egyptian who was five cubits[d] tall. Although the Egyptian had a spear like a weaver’s rod in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club. He snatched the spear from the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear.

Job.

Before God blessed Job with fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, a thousand donkeys, seven sons, and the most beautiful daughters in his land, God took Job through the trials of losing all his sheep, camels, oxen, donkeys, and losing all his sons and daughters.

Jesus Christ.

Jesus went through the trials of being exiled to Egypt, being tempted by Satan, being opposed by religious and other leaders, and being crucified on the cross. After all these trials God exalted his name above all other names.

God uses your trials.

Prayer that blocks Satan.
